The Banking system

Let me introduce you to the most corrupt system in the world.  The U.S gov't is a close second.  What I am talking about is the U.S banking system.  Here is how it works:  Banks make no money when loans are paid back, it would be like if I gave u ten dollars and you paid me back two days later, i.e no profit.  So how do banks make their money?  Simple; off interest.  When a bank makes a loan, they charge interest.  This creates a system where the bank no longer wants the actual loan money back, but rather to continue to collect interest on it.  Now, here is where the system begins to get tricky.  Since banks only truly have the money that they make off interest, it SHOULD be limited in the loans it makes.  Instead what the bank does is loan money that isn't truly theirs.  How? by loaning out other peoples money hoping they will have it back by the time the person wants it back.  In other words the bank has $10, and John comes in and deposits $20.  Then Bill comes in looking to take out a loan of $25, the bank doesn't have $25 of its own dollars, so in order to make money off interest, they loan Bill their own $10 and 15 of Johns dollars.  Now this system works out fine in Bill pays the loan back before John wants his money.  But if John comes to collect his money before the loan is payed, it simply isn't there.  So how does the bank fix this problem?  They do the seemingly impossible, loan invisible money.   How is this possible?  Well before the Federal Reserve came along, it wasn't possible.  However, with the introduction of the Fed, the banks can default this debt to Congress, problem solved right?  But woops, Congress has no money.  So now what? It, predictably, goes to the Fed.  It, again, has no money, but wait a solution!  The Fed can print its own money!  So the Fed gives this money to the banks, problem solved, right?  But wait, there's a glitch.  This money that goes to the bank doesn't stay there, it enters the market and mixes.  This sends inflation through the roof, and mysteriously your money devalues, i.e prices go up.  But wait there's more.  This system encourages banks to make risky loans to big buisness, because they have no fear of defaulting and the promise of mega-bucks off interest.  This not only hurts small buisnesses who are unable to get loans, but it also kills the taxpayer who is paying for the bailouts.  This is exactly what happened in '08.  Banks defaulted on thousands of reckless loans and the taxpayer, under the cover of 'too big to fail', picked up the tab.

Watch what you say about the Fed

So apparently the Fed wants to be your friend, on facebook and twitter that is.  A report surfaced the other day that the secret organization that literally controls the world, is now keeping tabs on what is written about it on social media sites. No need to fear though, it's only 'paranoid bloggers' who are making a bigger deal out of this than needed.  So the question is what happens when they hear something they don't like?

The Fed

What if I told you that a secret group of men have been controlling our nation for the last one hundred years.  That a secret commity of non-elected officials, are behind every single event in our country.  This may sound a lot like East Germany, or the society described in 1984, but what if I told you that I am describing an U.S organization.  It is called the Federal Reserve, and it has been controlling America since the 1920's.  The Fed has been behind-the-scenes of every economic event in the last 100 years.  American citizens are not allowed to know who is on this board.  This organization controls inflation and the interest rate, in other words in is in complete control of the dollar, and for those of you who don't know every world economy is based on the dollar.  The Fed controls the world.  As the dollar inches ever closer to collapse, the Fed becomes ever more important.  If the dollar was to collapse, these men stand to make billions, if not more.  I believe these men are purposely pushing America to the edge, in order to collapse our currency and force the planet into a one-world currency, with them in control.  I understand how much of a conspiracy theory this appears to be, but it is completely true.  Do some research and read The Creature From Jekyll Island

Economy

Hey not to belabor the point, but we're in trouble.  We are a nation of consumers, we produce nothing, spend like drunken sailors, and no one realizes it.  Our president is a liar, and has spent his entire presidency on vactation on tax payer dime.  We are a fascist nation, where the only ones who have power are gov't and big buisness who are in bed with eachother.  Never before in America have we seen such a gap between the richests and the poorests.  Anyone who tells the truth (Ron Paul, Glenn Beck, Gerald Celente) are shut up, and laughed at.  Wake up America! we're screwed.  The dollar has a month or two.  We are headed to a Depression worse that the one in 1930.  In 1930 we weren't 14 trillion dollars in debt, we weren't about to go into hyper-inflation, and we werent all over the world with our military. Do your homework (info wars.com) buy up food, and gold.  You're money is about to be worthless

Israel

Before I begin this, I must start by stating that I, in no way, feel a religious or Biblical attachment to Israel.  Having said that, what is now going on in Israel is a joke.  First the fact that we are in even still part of the U.N is ridiculous.  America provides the majority of the money to fund an anit-American organization.  Time and time again the U.N has proven itself to be at odds with American ideology.

Now moving on to Israel.  Since the foundation of the Israeli state in 1948, Israel has been under attack.  The first attack coming in the six days war in 1967 where the surrounding Middle Eastern nations attacked Israel.  The latest attack have come from Iranian president mahmoud ahmadinejad, who in his innaugarel adress called for the destruction of all Jews.  This Hitler-like evil is consistently given the stage to speak in front of the U.N. 

Let us now examine the issue of the creation of a Palestinian state.  We must first understand the the Israeli people, in no way, stole any land from the Palestinians.  The Palestinian people are, by nature, nomadic people.  In fact, if anyone stole land from Palestine, it was the Egyptians, but since that doesn't further the agenda of the antisemitic Left-wing radicals, it is pushed under the rug.  If we look at the polls, we find  that most Palestinians have no problem with Israeli leadership in Jerusalem.  I am convince that Palestine is just the latest pawn of the radical liberal left.  Finally we must look at the " '67" borders.  First it is important to note that these 'borders' were never truly established borders of the Israeli state, but rather a result of Egyptian encroachment.  Second it is necessary to realize that these borders are virtually indefensible.  We as Americans' must stand with Israel, our one ally in the Middle East.

Green Scam

At the beginning of his administration, Barack Obama promised the Amrica people that the way to create jobs in the future was 'green jobs'.  He promised that this research would create thousands of jobs, while also making our country 'energy efficient'.  $500 million of tax-payer money was given to Solyndra to create the so - called 'green jobs'.  Now three years later, the company is bankrupt and the promise of new jobs void, and the CEOs of this corrupt compay chalk-full of lobbyists pleads the fifth in front of Congress.  The American people should be outraged at yet another example of the U.S gov't stealing our money and throwing it away.  $14.75 trillion in debt and counting....

R.I.P Lt Joe Szczerba

Today on the way home from school I passed by the funeral of recently murdered police officer Lt Joe Szczerba.  Szczerba was stabbed to death last week, trying to break up a domestic dispute.  A long line of people waited outside in the rain to pay their respects to a fallen hero.  We often forget the thousands of men and woman who put their lives on the life everyday in defense of our communities.  Let us all pay our respects... 

Philosophy

Who is the philosopher? If we are to take the word literally, then he is simply a lover of wisdom.  The philosopher asks the questions that the scientist takes for granted.  The philosopher goes beyond the surface and digs deep into the world around him.  But doesn't every man asks such questions as why are we here, whats our purpose, and where are we going?  So are we not all philosophers?  And yet few embark on the fascinating journey that is philosophy. Few understand the genius that is Kant or Hume, or enter the world of Freud.  These men, for many, are foreign, but i would encourage those who are Christians to pick up their bible and turn to ecclesiastes and read one of the original 'lovers of wisdom'; Solomon.  Feel his inner anguish, sense his confused mind, and bask in his faith in He who knows all things

Why Christianity?

To those outside Christianity, a common and fair question, is what makes you right and all the other religions wrong.  I hope to give some insight as to why Christianity is the Truth.

As we begin we must come to grips with two things:
1.  It is possible, although unlikely, that all religion is false
2.It is not possible that all religions can be true.

Now that we have established that I think it is helpful to get a basic definition of the word god:

'A being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe'.

Now that we have laid down the basic ground rules, lets start with the two basic divisions when it comes to the views of god, monothiest and polythiestic.

We can immediately throw out any and all polythiestic religions because many gods is ontologically impossible.  Above we see that god by definition is omniscient and all powerful. It is impossible for two beings to be all powerful. Omnipotent and omniscient implies one.

Now, before we move on to the monothiestic religions we must take time to consider the possibility of panthiesm, or as I like to call in pan-everythingism.  Simply put panthiesm states that everything is god.  The trees, the chair I am sitting in and even the computer I am typing on.  This idea has several problems. First, it gives no answer to the cosmological questions. Second, the logical question is when does the object become god, or cease to be god?  For example if i smash this computer on the ground, does it cease to be god?  Panthiesm leads you to a perpetual state of confusion, so we shall throw it out.

Now we have gotten to the three great monothiestic religions; Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.  Of these three Islam is the youngest and Judaism the oldest.  Although all three of these religions have one God, the Christian view is vastly different because it believes in a Trinitarian God.  Although this is often over looked, but it is vital.  For a strict monthiestic religion, God creates out of necessity. He is alone and creates man to enjoy.  Also this God cannot truly be moral, because he has never had anyone to interact with to prove his morality.  Finally without company, this God ceases to be personal.  Only the Trinitarian God allows for all these key essentials.

America

Over the last fews months I have come to the conclusion that our country is quickly approaching its demise.  Our economic policies along with the unwillingness of leaders to do what is in the best interest of the country has led us to the brink of collapse.  We live in a generation of idiots who have no understanding of the world, and spend half their lives living at home, free of any responisibility.  So the question becomes, who will stand up.  Who will fight for Truth?  We live in a world of relativism, where what is good for you is good for you, but I can choose to go my own way.  In this world of uncertainty it is the job of the Christian to stand for
Truth and freedom in this dying world.  If America should collapse tommorow the Truth of Christ will remain.  He does not change.  Stand on the Rock that He is and we shall never be put to shame.

Freedom

The basic questions regarding freedom, are what it includes and who it is extended to.  In America today, even among so called 'conservatives' freedom is limited and is only extended to those who agree with their policies.  This can be most clearly seen in the Conservative view in regards to same-sex marriage.  Although I am a Christian and am absolutely against same-sex marriage, I believe that marital freedom should be extended to all citizens.  What gives the Federal Gov't the right to decide who and who shouldn't be legally allowed to marry?  Same goes for illegal drugs.  At the very least it should be a states issue, but if we're truly a nation of freedom drugs should be legal.  Should drinking and smoking be legal, and marijuana illegal, for the simple fact that the federal gov't decides it?  We are either a nation of freedom or not, there isn't a middle ground.

Apologetics

As an apologist i spend much time watching debates between Christians and athiests and often find it interesting to hear the arguements of the other side.  One arguement I have been hearing more recently(from the side of the athiest) is that as we look at the massive universe with all its complexity and empty space, it is absurd to think that it would have been made for humans.  I have heard this arguement from famous intellectuals, such as Lawrence Krauss, Christopher Hitchens, and Richard Dawkins.  In response to this proposition, I would have to absolutely agree.  The Biblical account is that the universe was created and exists for the glory of God, not for humans.  Although God has given us a universe to enjoy and explore(to the pleasure of men like Dawkins, ironically) it is ultimately exists for the glory of God. 

To increase the irony of this arguement is that it falls right in line with one of the thiests strongest arguements, the Teleological arguement.  This arguement from creation argues the fact that such an unbelievably complex universe necessitates a creator.

Who Am I?

My name is Nate Hansell and I am 16.  I am reformed and conservative.  I believe in freedom for all men, even those who don't agree with me.  I believe that we as Christians have been called to stand up for the Truth revealed to us in Scripture(Jude 1:4).  I am interested in theology, philosophy, politics, and apologetics.  I am an avid reader.  My favorite authors are John Piper, A.W Tozer, Johnny Mac, R.C Sproul, and Francis Schaeffer.  My favorite preachers include, those who I just mentioned, along with Paul Washer, Mark Driscoll, and Matt Chandler.
