Truth above all

Over the last few months the truth is something I have had to face.  As I have educated myself in the complicated world of politics and economics, I have been forced to face, in the words of Al Gore 'an incovinient truth.'  The facts arent easy to swallow and yet they must be as they are facts.

My transformation began several months ago and has continued with the guidance and companionship of Zach and Ryan Hayes.  What we have learned has shocked, scared, and most of all angered us.  Our opinions have changed and political views have been reshaped and remoulded nearer to the hearts of the great men that founded our nation. A few months ago I considered myself a staunch Republican and trusted anyone who had an R before their names.  The truth is that neither party represents the people, and both have been corrupted by power and wealth.  The Democrats of 40 years ago are today's Republicans.  Fakes like Rick Perry and Mit Romney parade themselves around as Conservatives when in actuality they are no different the the liberals they pretend to oppose.  The only difference is the Republicans have better rhetoric.  The real injustice is that the true conservatives, like Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich, are mocked and ridiculed.  We live in a nation afraid of truth, who would rather live in the bliss of ignorance.

I have learned that the U.S has anbandoned its non-interventionist roots, in favor of sticking our heads into any and every conflict world-wide.  This isnt something new.  Woodrow Wilson ran on a non-interventionist platform and then preceded to engage in WW1.  The same goes for our current president who promised to pull us out of all wars, and yet has perpuated our efforts across the world,  even sending new troops to Libya and most recently Uganda. "Over grown military establishments are under any form of government inauspicious to liberty, and are to be regarded as particularly hostile to republican liberty." - George Washington
The real noninterventionist candidate; Ron Paul.

I have learned that the Federal Reserve, is not run by the Federal gov't at all, and is the most corrupt and evil organization in our country.  Men like Greenspan and Bernake have succeeded in running our county into the gorund and causing Stagflation.  They control both the interest rate and the inflation rate, and therefore our nations economy.  When the economy is bad, they 'open the fed window' printing millions of dollars out of thin air and drop the interest rate, creating a false boom.  At the same time causing massive inflation and allowing people to buy things they can't afford to pay off.  When this catches up to the market the boom cycle is inevitably ended, and the bubble is burst and a bust cycle ensues.  This is our economy; unstable and risky.  Again the only candidate who seems to understand and care about this is Ron Paul; see a pattern emerging?

As a result of what I have learned I no longer care about what any politician says.  They are all liars.   Show me you are for me, for the people by your actions and your voting record.  If you are running for governor then you better be representing my state; not a party or the whole nation, my state.  If you are my rep then you better be representing the people in your region and serving according to their needs.  I want a leader who has had a leadership posistion in the private sector, no more life- long politicians.  Serve me for the time you have been elected to, stop worrying about reelection.  Finally do what you were elected to do.  If you ran on no new taxes; dont raise taxes.  The power in the Republic belongs to the people and it is time to take it back.  In the words of George Washington. "The time is near at hand which must determine whether Americans are to be free men or slaves".
